When our “new” old locomotives arrived at the Lake Shore Railway Museum recently, a 1939 General Electric 23 ton boxcab locomotive and the 18 ton Plymouth Model JHG, both were looking a little weather beaten and in need of some attention. Well, it didn’t take long before museum volunteers went to work and gave both of them a fresh coat of paint and began doing some repairs. It’s step one in a long process of bringing them back to their former glory and good looks.
Come to the museum and check them out and while you’re there, take your time and look over all of our other rolling stock and historic displays. Watch the many trains go by on the CSX and Norfolk Southern tracks right next to the museum grounds, too.
See you there!
